The number of dengue fever deaths across the country on Monday has risen to 31, out of which nine are from Islamabad.
According to the latest data released in this regard, the number of patients in Punjab reached 3 thousand 8 hundred, while dengue disease is spreading rapidly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the number of patients has jumped to 4,000.
There are 3,000 dengue patients in Sindh province, over 2,700 patients in Balochistan whereas the number of dengue patients in Azad Kashmir has exceeded 400.
According to the health department, Pothohar region has been declared the most dangerous for dengue.
Remember that, a day earlier, the federal government decided to investigate the alarming prevalence of dengue in the country.
According to the sources, the National Health Ministry will investigate the spread of dengue outbreak to international organizations, for that the World Health Organization, CDC USA and Sri Lanka will be contacted, in this regard.
It is to be said that global experts will research the dengue larvae and the virus during visits to all four provinces, especially Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Azad Kashmir.
Dr. Zafar Mirza, Assistant Special Health Officer, has approved the investigation into the matter of Dengue to global experts.
