The novel coronavirus continues to spread across the globe and the situation in Pakistan is also alarming as the infections in the country are continously increasing.
The number of confirmed cases in the country has jumped to 93,983 on Saturday after new cases were detected in different parts of country.
According to the national dashboard, 377 new cases were reported in Islamabad, 45 in GB and 32 new cases in AJK.
The national dashboard stated that, 4,734 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours.
The national database stated that cases in Punjab mounted to 35,308, the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Sindh stood at 34,889, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases climbed to 12,459, in Balochistan 5,776 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases climbed to 4,323, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 897, while 331 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the coronavirus death toll has jumped to 1,935 after 97 new deaths were reported in the country over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded 541 deaths, 659 in Punjab, a highest number as compared to any other province while 615 in Sindh, 13 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 54 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 45 deaths and AJK recorded eight deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 660,508 corona tests and 22,185 in last 24 hours and 32,581 patients have recovered across Pakistan.
Reportedly, 17787 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 7953 in Punjab, 3366 in KP, 2110 in Balochistan, 629 in ICT, 551 in GB while in AJK 185 patients have been completely recovered whereas many patients are in a critical condition across the country.
