The Department of Railway has decided to start the special train from Lahore to Changa Manga. The provincial government of Punjab has also decided to celebrate the Basant festival from 21st February to the 5th of March in Changa Manga. The design also includes the alteration train routes of other destinations to Changa Manga to facilitate those who want to celebrate the festival.

The provincial government of Punjab has not allowed the metropolitans of Lahore to celebrate the Basant festival within the boundaries of the city as they pose serious threat to the lives of the people, instead they have given alternative destination to celebrate the fiesta.

Apart from the administrative complications related to the festival of Basant, the Basant has also become an issue between the conservatives and liberals of Pakistan. The government needs to take balanced and sound measures to address all the issues which have been appended with the Basant festival.
