Rana Sana, Capt Safdar interim bail extended till Oct 23

Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday has extended interim bail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah and capt (retd) Safdar till October 23 in a case pertaining to clash outside the NAB Lahore office during the appearance of party vice president Maryam Nawaz.

The extension was granted to Rana Sanaullah, Captain (retd) Safdar and other others.

It is pertinent to mention here that, on August 11, clash broke out outside the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) office between PML-N workers and police contingents after the arrival of Maryam Nawaz in the bureau in illegal transfer of 200-acre land case.

Multiple people, including cops and NAB officials, were wounded and over 50 were arrested after police fired tear gas in retaliation when the PML-N workers started pelting them and the NAB office with stones.

It is to be noted that, a case lodged against Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz and other party leaders and workers in Chohang police station.

Senior Party leaders named in the case include Rana Sanaullah, Muhammad Zubair, Javed Latif, Bilal Yasin, Imran Nazir and others.

The report says that workers led by Maryam Nawaz pelted stones at the officials and she attacked NAB at the behest of her husband Safdar Awan. 

Party workers pelted stones, injuring 13 officials, including NAB employees in the attack, the report added.
