Prime Minister Imran Khan will reach Lahore on a day-long visit today (Tuesday).
According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan will preside over key meetings during his stay in Lahore.
During his visit to the city, the premier will hold separate meetings with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Governor Chaudhry Sarwar, while he will also meet other leaders of his party.
Matters related to political and financial affairs of the province will come under discussion during the meetings.
Earlier, on September 15, Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Lahore to get briefings on the progress in the Lahore motorway rape case. According to sources, the Prime Minister Imran Khan met Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar.
During his visit to Lahore, the premier also met Inspector General (IG) Punjab and Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) in which he was briefed on the Motorway gang-rape case. He apprised about the administrative, political affairs and overall situation including law and order of the province during his visit to the city.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan condemned the Lahore motorway gang-rape incident, saying "It has shaken the entire nation. We all identify women as our sisters or daughters. This incident has hit us all on a personal level.
