PM Khan meets Azerbaijan president, Singapore PM on sidelines of Davos summit


Prime Minister Imran Khan met with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday, discussed all aspects of bilateral relations based on mutual trust and brotherhood.

The commitment to continue supporting one another in national affairs was reiterated, and in all fields, there was a commitment to further expand bilateral relations. Prime Minister Imran Khan also briefed Alham Aliyev about the serious situation in occupied Kashmir.

He said that there were systematic human rights abuses in Kashmir. Indian government August 5 took unilateral and illegal action, with devastating effects.

Meanwhile, PM Imran praised Azerbaijan's support to Kashmir at OIC forum. On the other hand, the premier also met with Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong in Davos, on the sidelines of World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2020.

Bilateral relations and ways and means to strengthen economic ties were discussed during the meeting.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Advisor on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razaq Dawood, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to UN at Geneva Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and senior officials were also present.

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Permamnent Representative to UN at Geneva Ambassador Khalil Hashmi were also present on the occasion.

    World Bank: Pakistan is 88% Urbanized
