"Zero Point" by Javed Chaudhry used to be a must read column for me on Jang's web site. Couple of years ago, Jang stopped publishing his columns and i often wondered where he went. Recently, i discovered his columns on online edition of Daily Express. Apparently, he joined Daily Express and is regulary writing for them.

Javed
Chaudhry's columns are thought provoking and provide interesting insight on various social and semi-political issues. Check out one of his recent column: Zinda Lashoon Ka Qubaristan

I hope you will find his articles a good read.

Naveed ... do u think all in that article is logical chronologically ? e.g. something happening these days regarding 'ekhlaquiaat' is nothing new - its not for the first time in PK.

I m not in sync with PK politics (the only reason I look at urdu newspaper is for desi restaurants :)
and thats why I didnt got the basics - why would some leaders care (or do not care) about GPM's uniform?

Javed Chaudhry has written quite a few times on this topic in the past. I guess, recent events show that moral standards of our leaders are deteriorating to new levels.

In a traditional democratic government, Army is supposed to protect the country not rule it. Each pillar of society has its own role. In my opinion, our political leaders really don't care about the "uniform". Their main concern is to get a piece of the pie.

Another interesting article: Udaas Nusl.
Javed Chaudhry tends to exaggerate but gist of his columns is usually right on the target.
